Sometimes our hearts feel to heavy, too sinful, too needy or too weak to approach the Lord in prayer. This is precisely the time to approach him with confidence in his character and promises…

1 John 5:14 reminds us that “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”

Spend some time praying according to the points below:

  • Confess and express any fear or sin or barrier that is keeping you from coming confidently to the Lord and ask him to give you confidence in him…

  • Reflect on seasons of your life where the Lord has answered your prayers and give him thanks for those seasons…

  • List any local churches and or ministries that are engaged in gospel ministry and ask for the Lord’s provision for them by name…

  • Reflect on any current national and or worldwide events happening and ask for the Lord’s help in meeting needs, healing the broken, saving the lost, etc…

  • Pray for specific missionaries that you or your church supports by name asking for financial provision, relational connection, protection, gospel proclamation, etc…

  • Pray for the nearly 17,000 in Hastings, NE that do not have a church home to come to know Jesus and become a viable part of the local church…
