It is the will of God that we give thanks in every circumstance we face. He calls us to be in a continual attitude of prayer and always be full of joy. This is his will. His desire for us. His command to us.
Spend some time praying according to the points below:
:: There may be some circumstances you are facing right now that you are struggling to be grateful for. Ongoing sin, suffering, financial difficulty, relational pain. Whatever the circumstance, ask the Lord to help you be grateful for his unseen purposes and ask him to give you peace that surpasses understanding.
:: Continuing in prayer constantly is a tough gig. Spend some time confessing your struggle with this and ask the Lord to renew a continual hope and devotion to prayer in your life.
:: Joy. Oh joy! Joy can sometimes seem fleeting amidst our moment by moment struggles. Ask the Lord to restore to you the joy of your salvation and spend some time recounting in prayer how God saved you and when he saved you and the assuring he has given you that he has in fact saved you.
