Acts 16:25 teaches us that we are to pray and praise even in the midst of our most difficult circumstances and at the most inopportune times. Paul and Silas were locked up in prison but they chose to pray and praise at midnight. The result of this is that other prisoners listened to their prayers and praises. In the midst of our suffering, the world sees and hears our response. What will the watching world see and hear in you?

Spend some time praying according to the points below:

  1. Spend some time confessing your struggle with Satan, sin and the world and ask God to be gracious towards you.
  2. Recount the many ways God has blessed you in the midst of your struggle and offer your praise to him for his faithfulness.
  3. Lift up other brothers and sisters in need and ask the Lord to grant them strength, provision and peace amidst their struggle.
  4. Ask the Lord to set people free from their addictions and sin and to provide healing and strength in areas of brokenness and weakness.
