Our Heavenly Father sees everything. He sees every thought, desire and action. He loves to answer the prayers of his children and he opposes his enemies. He is both loving and just. He blesses his children and he executes justice upon his enemies.
We want to become healthy members of the church family and one of the disciplines that help us to grow in this area of becoming healthy family members is the discipline of prayer…
Spend some time praying according to the points below:
- Acknowledge God’s character attributes. Our Father is all seeing, all knowing, all present, all loving, all powerful, etc…
- Confess any known sin and ask for forgiveness and strength to believe and trust in the promises of the cross and resurrection of Jesus…
- Express gratitude, praise and worship to the Lord for making you his son or daughter…
- Ask the Lord to renew your commitment and give you a deeper desire and ability to become a healthier member of His church family…
- Ask the Lord to strengthen your engagement in the life of the church family through GC’s, Sunday’s, Porterbrook, Leadership Teams, etc…
- Pray for other church family members or prospective members by name…
Close by praying for your church family to continue growing into a healthy representation of Jesus in our community…
