Job was a man who suffered a lot. He was a very righteous man who was also very wealthy. But in a very short time he lost all of his wealth and his family. And to top it all off he caught a nasty skin infection that was very painful.

Call on God and he will answer you. His phone never rings busy and you don’t have wait for hours for him to text you back.
I have a short list of friends who will answer the phone regardless of what time it is. It’s reassuring and encouraging to know that I’m not alone and it’s helpful to know that someone is ready and available to listen in my times of trouble and need.

It’s crazy to think that the eyes of our hearts could be blinded by darkness instead of enlightened by the hope of our calling in Christ Jesus. The central issue here is an issue of hope.
Devote, prayer, watchful and thankful. Lots of meaning wrapped up in these four words. Devotion means steadfast commitment. Prayer means to communicate with God. Watchful means to be on the lookout. Thankful means to be in a posture of gratitude towards someone who has blessed you. Is there really anything else to say as we go to meet with the Lord in prayer?
